Kashmiris in London marked Jammu and Kashmir Black Day in a distinctive manner, commemorating a significant historical event.
On this day in 1947, India entered Srinagar with its military forces, forcibly occupying Jammu and Kashmir against the desires of the local population.
A unique campaign was conducted through electronic displays on trucks in central London, strategically positioned near parliamentary buildings and other notable locations.
The campaign underlined the pressing necessity for global intervention to put an end to repressive legislation and human rights infringements in the India Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Individuals expressed their solidarity with the Kashmiri people and voiced concerns about the humanitarian crisis prevailing in the region.
They called upon the UK government to safeguard the rights of Kashmiris, committed to continuing their efforts to address human rights violations in the UK’s parliament, and urged India to grant access to human rights organizations.
