LAHORE: Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi was elected unopposed as the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for three years on Tuesday.
In this regard, the meeting of the PCB Board of Governors was held at the National Cricket Academy near the Gaddafi Stadium under the chairmanship of Interim Chairman Shah Khawar.
Naqvi will serve as the 37th chairman of PCB after Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Haq Kakar nominated him to the Board of Governors. He will take charge after leaving the post of Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab.
Earlier in January, Zaka Ashraf resigned from the post of PCB Management Committee Chairman.
During Zaka Ashraf’s tenure, Pakistan failed to qualify for the finals of the Asia Cup and the semi-finals of the World Cup.
