ISLAMABAD — The foreign ministers of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Jordan, Indonesia, Türkiye, and Egypt have welcomed steps taken by Hamas to support US President Donald Trump’s proposal for ending the Gaza war and beginning talks on implementation mechanisms, the Foreign Office said on Sunday.
In a joint statement issued in Islamabad, the ministers also appreciated President Trump’s call on Israel to immediately halt airstrikes and move toward implementing the exchange agreement to release all hostages. They described the recent developments as “a real opportunity” for a comprehensive ceasefire and for addressing Gaza’s deepening humanitarian crisis.

The statement confirmed that Hamas had expressed readiness to transfer Gaza’s administration to a transitional Palestinian technocratic committee. The ministers stressed the urgency of starting negotiations to finalize the plan’s implementation details.
They jointly called for unrestricted humanitarian aid, prevention of Palestinian displacement, protection of civilians, and restoration of the Palestinian Authority’s control over Gaza and the West Bank — paving the way for Israeli withdrawal and a two-state peace solution.
