Pakistan’s premier pace bowler, Naseem Shah, has been named Goodwill Ambassador of the Balochistan Police Force. The talented young cricketer was anointed “Honorary DSP” at a ceremony held at the IG Balochistan Police Office in Quetta. Shah was decked out in his new police uniform as he was presented with his new ranks.

Shah took the podium at the event, beaming with pride, to express his gratitude for the appointment. He acknowledged that as a child, he was intimidated by police officers, but now recognizes the sacrifices they make to keep the public safe. The cricketer pointed out that police officers even go without sleep to protect them, and he has immense respect for the tireless work they do.

“I used to be scared of the police when I was a kid. My parents would use the police as a bogeyman to scare me. But as I grew up, I came to understand the incredible sacrifices they make to keep us secure,” Shah said. “They don’t just put their lives on the line for us, but even something as simple as staying up all night to keep us safe at the National Cricket Academy. I can’t even get a good night’s sleep, but they still do it. I have the utmost admiration for the police and am extremely thankful for their support.”
