The newly appointed Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, received the Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) from President Dr. Arif Alvi in a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Friday.
This prestigious honor was conferred upon Admiral Ashraf in recognition of his outstanding services to the nation. The ceremony was attended by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, service chiefs including General Asim Munir, and other high-ranking officials.
Admiral Ashraf took command of the Pakistan Navy just last week, becoming the nation’s 23rd naval chief. The formal handover ceremony took place in Islamabad, with outgoing naval chief Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi passing the mantle to the newly appointed leader. This transition marks an important change in leadership for the Pakistan Navy.
