No Handcuffs for Ex-ISI Chief: Faiz Hameed Remains Unrestricted

ISLAMABAD: Former chief of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Lt Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed, is not in custody, according to sources.

On Wednesday, several posts on social media alleged that the ex-ISI director general had been confined to his residence in Chakwal and was being investigated regarding the May 9 attacks.

To verify the authenticity of these claims, The private news agency reached out to three sources. All three sources dismissed the reports, stating that Gen (retd) Faiz had not been arrested. One of the sources even mentioned having recently met the former intelligence head.

Our correspondent attempted to contact the ex-ISI chief via his mobile number, but it was found to be switched off.
