Opposition Alliance Calls for Nationwide Protest on July 26

The Tehreek Tahafuz Aaeen-e-Pakistan (TTAP) opposition alliance has declared plans for a countrywide protest on July 26, a move of utmost urgency aimed at securing the release of political prisoners and reclaiming the “stolen mandate.” At a recent meeting presided over by senior politician and movement leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the alliance demanded the release of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan and other political detainees.

The TTAP, committed to the welfare of the people, also called for an empowered judicial commission to investigate the firing on peaceful marchers in Bannu and insisted on the resignation of the ruling party, along with fresh elections. The meeting attendees stressed the urgent need for relief from skyrocketing prices of essential commodities, electricity, and gas. They further highlighted the government’s failure to address the economic hardships faced by the general populace.
