Pakistan and Japan have forged a stronger alliance, aiming to amplify and enrich their mutually advantageous collaboration across various domains, as Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari embarked on his inaugural visit to the nation since assuming office last year.

The two nations have pledged to reinforce their bonds in areas such as commerce, investment, capacity building, knowledge exchange, information technology, tourism, and agriculture.

“In addition, we have jointly agreed to explore opportunities for impactful collaborations in the fields of solar energy, desalination, water purification, as well as the reconstruction of housing and infrastructure in flood-affected regions of Pakistan,” stated the FM during a joint press conference with his Japanese counterpart Yoshimasa Hayashi in Tokyo.

Furthermore, FM Bilawal held a productive meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in the capital city.

“Greetings from the people and government of Pakistan were conveyed, fostering a shared aspiration to deepen engagement and cooperation across diverse sectors,” remarked the Foreign Office.

Earlier, the ministers engaged in a friendly discussion, acknowledging the robust bilateral ties and expressing eagerness to further elevate their collaboration.
