The security forces have seized a large amount of arms and ammunition, including Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), during an extensive search and sanitization operation in the Chaman area.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) to clear a suspected hideout of terrorists who were allegedly involved in recent terrorist incidents, including the planting of IEDs in Chaman and surrounding areas.
The ISPR added that the security forces identified the location of the terrorists through continuous technical surveillance and reconnaissance of the area before they were employed to check it.
The Pakistan Army, in coordination with the nation, is committed to thwarting any attempt to sabotage the peace, stability, and progress of Balochistan, the ISPR added.
