Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa in Manama, where both leaders reaffirmed the strength of Pakistan-Bahrain relations rooted in shared history and strategic cooperation. The King conferred the Order of Bahrain First Class on the Prime Minister, noting that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had once represented Bahrain as a lawyer, symbolising a deep and historic connection between the two nations.
Both sides reviewed political, economic, defence, and cultural ties and agreed to accelerate cooperation across key sectors. The Prime Minister thanked Bahrain for its support, especially the establishment of King Hamad University for Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences in Islamabad, and appreciated Bahrain’s solidarity after recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted Pakistan’s focus on expanding trade under the upcoming Pakistan-GCC Free Trade Agreement and invited Bahraini investors to explore new opportunities through the Special Investment Facilitation Council. Both leaders reaffirmed defence collaboration and discussed developments in Gaza, stressing the need for lasting peace. The visit concluded with a banquet hosted by the King, underscoring the enduring friendship.
