Pakistan cannot afford more experiments: PTI Chairman Barrister Gauhar

[post-views]

Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said that the country cannot bear any more experiments, and the people’s decision on February 8 should be accepted by all.

Addressing party workers in Buner, Barrister Gohar asserted that though the PTI has faced numerous injustices, it will give priority to ending all disputes.

The PTI leader pointed out that out of 175 political parties, PTI conducted its intra-party elections effectively.

He said that the Election Commission of Pakistan has accepted the intra-party elections held in the 40/40 room of Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and the intra-party elections of the PPP held in Zardari’s drawing room.

He said that Muslim League (N) and People’s Party did not conduct intra-party elections in any province. He further said that both parties conducted elections for only four seats and these too were accepted by ECP as intra-party elections.

The PTI chief questioned why PTI’s intra-party elections were not accepted in the packed assembly.

Regarding PTI’s relinquishment of the ‘bat’ election symbol, Gohar asserted that he would regain his lost symbol.

Gohar said that PTI had complaints against the judiciary and state institutions but the party continued to trust the judiciary.

Gauhar emphasized that the voice of the people should not be obstructed on election day. He urged the PTI workers to show patience on February 8.
