Pakistan Conducts Targeted Operations, Warns Against Further Cross-Border Threats

[post-views]

Pakistan’s security forces have carried out targeted operations against militant groups, striking what officials describe as key logistical bases located inside Afghanistan. According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the action was taken in response to repeated attacks on Pakistani territory by Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan and Fitna-e-Hindustan, which Islamabad says have operated from Afghan soil.

The statement added that the latest operations followed what it termed provocative actions by the Taliban administration. Pakistan described its response as an act of self-defence, aimed at protecting its citizens and maintaining regional stability.

While reaffirming its preference for peace and diplomatic engagement, Islamabad said its restraint and goodwill efforts had not yielded the desired results. Instead, it claimed that cross-border attacks had intensified. Pakistan also alleged external backing for these militant elements, including support from India.

The government warned that any further aggression would be met with a measured but firm response. It also urged the international community to press Afghan authorities to take concrete and verifiable action against armed groups operating from their territory, in line with international law and the principles of the UN Charter.
