After a high-ranking army officer was killed in an exchange of fire in South Waziristan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif pledged that “terrorism will be eliminated” from the country “as it goes against the fundamental principles of Pakistan.”
PM Shehbaz expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased soldiers, stating that he was “profoundly saddened by the martyrdom of Brigadier Mustafa Burki and other soldiers.” He also remarked that our courageous sons have sacrificed their lives to protect the country from enemy forces.
