Pakistan Navy elevates two officers to rear admiral

The Pakistan Navy has announced the immediate promotion of two of its officers to the rank of rear admiral on Friday.

As per the Directorate General Public Relations (DGPR), the newly promoted Rear Admiral Khyber Zaman and Rear Admiral Shafquat Hussain Akhtar are both distinguished graduates of the National Defence University in Islamabad and the Pakistan Navy War College in Lahore. They have held various key positions related to command and staff.

Both officers were also awarded the Sitara-l-lmtiaz (military) in 2021 in recognition of their exceptional services.
