Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating peace in the Gulf region during a phone call with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian. He highlighted Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach and expressed serious concern over ongoing hostilities, stressing the urgent need for collective de-escalation and a return to dialogue among neighboring countries. Emphasizing the importance of unity within the Ummah, Shehbaz extended Pakistan’s solidarity with the Iranian people, offering condolences for lives lost and prayers for the injured and displaced.
