Pakistan Seeks Resolution with Afghanistan Over Cross-Border Extortion

Pakistan is set to once again address the concerning issue of Afghan nationals’ involvement in extorting Pakistani citizens. This move comes as part of Islamabad’s ongoing efforts to protect its people from cross-border threats and criminal activities.

Authorities have repeatedly voiced concerns over Afghan citizens engaging in various illegal activities, including terrorism and extortion, within Pakistan’s borders. They have consistently called on the neighboring nation to take decisive action against individuals involved in these activities.

During a recent press conference held in Peshawar, DIG Counter Terrorism Finance Imran Shahid announced that Pakistan has made the decision to raise the issue of Afghan citizens’ participation in extortion with the interim Taliban government in Kabul. This proactive step is aimed at addressing a pressing security concern and fostering cooperation between the two nations.
