In a strong display of condemnation, Pakistan summoned the Indian charge d’affaires to the Foreign Office on Saturday to express its vehement protest over the ceasefire violation committed by the Indian forces in the Satwal Sector of the Line of Control.
Tragically, two innocent Pakistani civilians were martyred, while another sustained injuries as a result of the unprovoked Indian army fire in the Sattwal Sector earlier today.
The deplorable targeting of innocent civilians by the Indian forces was met with strong condemnation. Pakistan emphasized that such reckless acts flagrantly violate the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding, which was reaffirmed in February 2021, as stated in an official statement issued by the Foreign Office.
Furthermore, it was firmly reiterated that the deliberate targeting of civilians goes against the principles of human dignity and international human rights and humanitarian laws.
