ISLAMABAD: Pakistan strongly condemned the unrelenting airstrikes and total isolation of Gaza by Israeli forces, drawing a poignant parallel between the unfolding humanitarian catastrophe and the plight of the Palestinian people.

Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbasi Jillani voiced Pakistan’s concern over the dire situation, emphasizing, “We deplore the Gaza blockade, a deeply regrettable circumstance where the lack of water, medical services, and sustenance is generating a profound humanitarian crisis, tantamount to a grave injustice.”

The Foreign Minister made these remarks during a press conference held at the Foreign Office in Islamabad.

These statements come amidst a deteriorating humanitarian crisis in Gaza, exacerbated by Israel’s comprehensive blockade as a response to an unexpected attack by Hamas on Israeli cities.

In anticipation of a ground incursion, Israel has issued a warning to approximately 1.1 million Gazans residing in the northern part of the Palestinian territory, urging them to relocate to the southern regions. The Israeli military has indicated that this operation will center on Gaza City, home to the leadership of the Hamas group.
