Chief of Defence Forces and Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, emphasized that the security and stability of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are closely linked to Pakistan’s own security during a meeting with UAE Deputy Ruler and National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the military’s media wing, ISPR, reported.
The leaders discussed enhancing cooperation across economic, investment, and security sectors, while exchanging views on regional developments and underscoring the importance of coordination for peace and stability. Field Marshal Munir expressed gratitude for the UAE’s long-standing support to Pakistan’s economy and security, noting that it reflects the deep-rooted historical ties between the two countries.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening this partnership in all areas, benefiting both nations and contributing to regional prosperity. The meeting follows recent high-level contacts, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s call with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, highlighting sustained bilateral cooperation.
