ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan on Thursday met with Ambassador of Iran Ali Raza Sini in Minsk, Belarus and discussed matters of mutual interest.

During the meeting, they reviewed the strong and fraternal relations between the two countries and expressed their happiness to return to their respective embassies by January 26, 2024.

On January 16, Iran violated Pakistan’s airspace and fired a missile at Balochistan, as a result of which two children were killed and three girls were injured. Tehran’s unilateral move forced Islamabad to recall its ambassador.

Islamabad also told Tehran that its envoy might not return at that time.

Pakistan retaliated two days later on January 18, attacking terrorist hideouts inside Iran.
