The director of Pakistan’s men’s cricket team, Mickey Arthur, has reportedly briefed the players on their strategy for the high-stakes match against the World Cup hosts in Ahmedabad this Saturday, according to Indian media.

The Pakistani cricket team arrived in Ahmedabad late on Thursday and has since been engaged in intense practice sessions as they prepare for their much-anticipated match.

Fans are eagerly looking forward to another outstanding performance from Mohammad Rizwan, who earned the Player of the Match title in their recent game against Sri Lanka. Rizwan, the wicketkeeper-batsman, is also putting in extra effort during practice sessions to prepare for the upcoming match.

Rizwan played a pivotal role in Pakistan’s victory over Sri Lanka by scoring a century, marking the highest-ever successful run chase in the tournament.

Indian media reported that Rizwan spent a full hour in the nets, working with a left-arm wrist spinner similar to India’s Kuldeep Yadav, focusing on honing his sweep and reverse sweep shots.

The 31-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman is reportedly practicing with his health condition in mind, recalling past health challenges he faced during the 2021 T20, particularly before the team’s semi-final against Australia.
