Stealing the spotlight at the New York Fashion Week, furry friends made a fashionable statement at the Inaugural CatWalk FurBaby fashion show hosted by Elysian Impact.
Fashion designers, models, and rescue animals came together for a fun-filled day of fashion and a noble cause, raising funds for animal welfare organizations.
A pack of ten human models strutted their stuff down the runway, sporting attire designed by celebrated names such as Nicole Miller, Victor de Souza, Brook Wilder and more, accompanied by their faithful four-legged friends.
Leading the charge was Dr Christina Rahm, CEO of DRC Ventures, who lent her support as the event’s main sponsor. Being a proud pet parent of three dogs and a cat, she runs several successful ventures, including a couture fashion line for both humans and pets.
Inspired to give back to animals, Dr Rahm and her husband Clayton Thomas, a veterinarian by profession, initiated a supplement line and protective clothing for animals. She said, “I wanted them to look fashionable, hence we created a couture line for them too.”
