The nation’s premier cricket tournament, the Pakistan Super League (PSL), is set to kick off its eighth edition, running from February 13 to March 19 in various cities including Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is determined to involve fans from all over the country, as per a statement from the organization. The new management committee, led by Najam Sethi, has announced plans to include Quetta as a potential fifth venue for the competition, pending security clearance.

To involve fans from Quetta, the PCB has scheduled an exhibition match between the Quetta Gladiators and the Peshawar Zalmi on February 5th, which is recognized as “Kashmir Day” throughout the country.

According to sources, the PCB, along with production and marketing teams, conducted a reconnaissance of Quetta’s only cricket stadium last weekend.
