A dispute over a building lease has led to the eviction of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalisation Committee (NC) officials from their Lahore headquarters. The PFF had initially secured a stay order on the issue, which was later lifted by a Lahore district and sessions court. The Punjab Revenue Department has also taken control of the building, contending that the lease was terminated in 2021.
PFF sources indicate that they will address the matter and notify FIFA, the governing body, after a FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier against Cambodia in Islamabad. The team aims for their first-ever World Cup qualifying round win in the return match, following a goalless first-leg draw in Cambodia. Pakistan has not won a World Cup qualifying match since their first-ever outing in 1990, drawing only three of 32 games. They scored 10 goals while conceding 124.
