The political leadership of the country has expressed its resolve to unite by putting aside their differences in the larger interest of the country.

While addressing a news conference in Islamabad along with PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Muslim League (Q) Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and MQM Convener Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, President Muslim League (N) Shahbaz Sharif said: He described the economic conditions as the biggest challenge. He stressed the coming government and joint efforts to get the country out of this crisis.

He stressed the need to devise a mechanism to reduce the burden of foreign debt and curb rampant inflation in the country.

Shahbaz Sharif thanked the allied parties for supporting the Muslim League-N in government formation.

He said that if the PTI-backed winning candidates feel that they have secured the required number of seats to form the government, they should come forward.

In response to a question, the PML-N President said that Maryam Nawaz will be a candidate for the post of Chief Minister of Punjab.

People’s Party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari said that the country’s political leadership is capable of running the country’s affairs in an efficient manner. He emphasized on seeking reconciliation and commonality among political parties to run the country smoothly.

Convener MQM Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui called the protection of national interests the top priority of his party. He also assured to support Muslim League-N in the process of government formation.

Former Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani also promised to support Muslim League (N) in the interest of the country.

Tehreek-e-Pakistan Chairman Abdul Aleem Khan expressed confidence in the leadership of Muslim League (N) and hoped that Muslim League (N) would take the best decisions for the betterment of the country.

Muslim League (Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that the economic agenda should be the first priority of the next government.
