President Alvi urges enhanced cooperation with Iran, Romania

Islamabad: President Dr Arif Alvi urged for greater collaboration with Iran and Romania in various areas of shared interest, during separate meetings with their envoys at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday.

In his discussion with the outgoing Iranian Ambassador Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini, the President stressed the importance of Pakistan’s fraternal ties with Iran, highlighting their shared history and cultural affinities. He also emphasized the need for increased economic cooperation and expansion of trade volume for the benefit of both nations.

President Alvi also drew attention to the ongoing human rights violations committed by Indian security forces against Muslims in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir, as well as other parts of India. He expressed his concerns about the Muslim community’s isolation and persecution in India, and urged the Muslim world to take note of India’s brutalities. He thanked the Iranian government for their support and stance on the Kashmir issue.
