In response to Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar’s press conference, Minister Azma Bukhari criticized the PTI and its Insaf Student Wing, accusing them of involvement in violence and vandalism.
“Bhachar Sahib, you’re not as innocent as you try to appear,” Bukhari remarked.
She further claimed that former members of the Insaf Student Wing had themselves incited students, stating that there is video evidence to support her accusations. Bukhari also alleged that the PTI had deliberately orchestrated a defamation campaign against a young girl and her family, which then led to student protests.
Punjab’s Information Minister accused PTI of frequently engaging in harmful propaganda against women, referencing herself and Maryam Nawaz as examples of targets in the past.
Bukhari assured that the situation in Punjab’s cities, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Gujranwala, remained stable and that the police were maintaining order. She warned that no one would be allowed to disrupt the peace or spread unrest, and that strict action would be taken against those spreading false information or propaganda, regardless of their occupation.
Earlier, opposition leader Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar had claimed that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz issued a charge sheet against PTI during her press conference to divert attention from her government’s failures. He accused Nawaz of blaming PTI to hide her incompetence and politicizing private and government institutions.
Responding to the allegations of a rape incident at a private Lahore college, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz dismissed the claims as fabricated. She also accused PTI of orchestrating the conspiracy, describing them as “terrorists” for using children to spread false information. Nawaz mentioned that PTI’s loyal journalists and vloggers were involved in spreading the false narrative, even presenting a girl as an eyewitness who fabricated claims about hearing noises and seeing locked rooms, which led to a call to Rescue 1122.
