Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former federal minister Asad Umar was apprehended by the Anti-Terrorist Squad of the Islamabad police from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) premises, as per Republic Policy News report on Wednesday.
The PTI Secretary General was on his way to file a petition to seek a meeting with PTI Chairman Imran Khan when he was arrested outside the IHC Bar Association’s office. The reason behind Umar’s arrest remains unclear, according to PTI lawyer Faisal Chaudhry.
