Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has nominated Omar Ayub as its candidate for the Prime Ministership.
PTI leader and former Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser nominated Umar Ayub for the post of Prime Minister while Aqib Khan has been nominated for the post of Speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Asad Qaiser announced plans to hold talks with all political parties, including Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Awami National Party (ANP) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F). He signaled to protest against the results of the February 8 elections, saying that the PTI’s mandate had been stolen.
The former speaker vowed to sit in the National Assembly and convene a parliamentary session in a day or two.
Asad Qaiser shared PTI founder’s statements after meeting in Adiala Jail with approval of Islamabad High Court. He said that PTI founder discussed issues related to political unity, new government and political situation in the meeting.
