Pakistan and Iran have reiterated their commitment to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

This determination was expressed today in a telephonic conversation between Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and his counterpart Hussain Amir Abdullah.

The Iranian Foreign Minister congratulated the caretaker government on the successful holding of the parliamentary elections and Jalil Abbas Jilani deeply appreciated the good wishes of the brotherly people of Iran.

Since the Iranian Foreign Minister’s visit to Pakistan earlier this month, the two countries have fully resumed official engagement.
