Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar has reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
Talking to China’s Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining close cooperation between the two countries for the timely completion of ongoing projects.
The Prime Minister extended a warm welcome to the Chinese Vice Foreign Minister and his delegation and expressed Pakistan’s deep appreciation for the all-time, strategic, cooperative partnership with China.
Reflecting on his visit to Beijing for the third Belt and Road Forum in October 2023, the Prime Minister praised China for the warm sentiments expressed towards Pakistan by President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang. He also expressed good wishes for the Chinese leadership.

In the meeting, the regional situation was also discussed in addition to discussions on Pakistan-China relations.
The Chinese Vice Foreign Minister thanked the Prime Minister and gave an insight into the various meetings held during the visit. He congratulated the Prime Minister on behalf of the Chinese leadership.
China’s Vice Foreign Minister Sun reiterated the strong relationship between China and Pakistan, calling them “iron brothers”. He assured that China will remain a steadfast partner in socio-economic development of Pakistan.
