Republic Policy Think Tank has officially launched its first book, Fixing the Executive Branch of Government in Pakistan, authored by civil servant and reform scholar Tariq Mahmood Awan. The book is being hailed as Pakistan’s first comprehensive anti-bureaucratic and pro-democratic reform study, offering a detailed framework to transition from a bureaucratic governance model to a democratic and specialized administrative system.
The book critically examines Pakistan’s executive machinery — including the civil services, police, local governments, and political executive — and presents an evidence-based roadmap for reform rooted in constitutional principles, federalism, and specialization.
