The Islamic holy month of Ramadan is expected to begin in a couple of days. In Pakistan, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal committee will meet on March 11th to decide on the sighting of the Ramadan moon. This committee will convene in Peshawar and make an announcement about the moon sighting after their meeting.

According to astronomers, the Ramadan moon will rise on March 10th but it likely won’t be visible until the following day. Because of this, there is a high probability that the first day of fasting will be on Tuesday, March 12th.

During Ramadan, Muslims around the world will observe a fast from dawn to sunset. The fasting hours will vary depending on location, but can range from 12 to 17 hours.

Earlier reports suggested that Islamic countries would begin observing Ramadan on March 10th. However, scientific data suggests that the moon will not be visible until March 11th, so many countries are expected to start Ramadan on that day.
