ISLAMABAD: The Russian Special Envoy for Afghanistan, Ambassador Zamir Kabulov, and Pakistan’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hina Rabbani Khar, met to reaffirm their dedication to a peaceful Afghanistan.
The two officials discussed matters related to regional security and emphasized the significance of collaborating to foster regional harmony and stability, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
They also expressed their devotion to promoting regional solutions through the Moscow Format and Neighbouring Countries of Afghanistan. They particularly emphasized the requirement for “tangible engagement” with the Interim Afghan government, the statement said.
Emphasizing that a tranquil neighborhood is a critical priority for Pakistan, the minister emphasized that Afghanistan – as a connecting link between Central and South Asia – is vital in achieving the full potential of socio-economic development and regional connectivity. The minister of state also reconfirmed Pakistan’s commitment to working with other regional countries towards this end, the statement added
