Russian forces have reportedly shot down four missiles in the southern region of Belgorod, with one person injured and two residential buildings damaged by rocket debris.
The governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said the missiles were fired over the region and its administrative centre. It is unclear who fired the missiles, but Gladkov has previously accused Ukrainian forces across the border of similar attacks.
Belgorod borders Ukraine’s Kharkiv region and has been the target of multiple attacks since the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine a year ago. Ukraine has rarely acknowledged responsibility for attacks on Russian-controlled territory or inside Russia.
