The Supreme Court of Pakistan has taken up the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) petition challenging the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) arrest of the party’s chief Imran Khan.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial is hearing the case, where the PTI is challenging the Islamabad High Court’s decision which termed the arrest of Imran Khan as “legal”. Imran Khan’s legal team led by Hamid Khan appeared before the court.

In the court, Khan argued that his client was arrested from the room where he was present for biometrics, and that the NAB personnel broke into the room for arresting him. The CJP inquired how a person could be arrested from the court premises where people come to seek justice.
