Security beefed up for PSL 8 in Lahore

DIG Operations Afzal Kausar has revealed that over 5,000 security personnel, including 11 Superintendents of Police, 34 DSPs, and 94 inspectors, will be deployed to ensure the safety of players and spectators during the upcoming Lahore leg of PSL 8. To achieve this, 43 teams of Elite Force, 107 Dolphin, and 58 PRU teams will patrol the area, while checkpoints will be established around the Lahore airport and Gaddafi Stadium.

Safe city cameras will also be used to monitor key locations. The first match of the Lahore leg will be played on Feb 26 between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi. The interim Punjab government has already imposed Section 144 in the provincial capital to prevent any untoward incidents during the PSL matches.
