Pakistan’s security forces have killed 19 terrorists linked to the Indian proxy network Fitna al-Khwaraj during three major operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Thursday. The intelligence-based actions were conducted between September 9 and 10 in Mohmand, North Waziristan and Bannu districts.
According to ISPR, 14 militants were eliminated in Mohmand, four in North Waziristan, and one in Bannu after intense gun battles. The statement added that a cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the slain militants, who had been involved in multiple terrorist activities across the region.
The military further said that sanitisation operations are ongoing in the surrounding areas to ensure no threat remains. It reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully committed to eradicating terrorism, particularly networks funded and supported by India, to ensure long-term peace and security for the nation.
