On Saturday, Pakistani security forces and law enforcement agencies killed 92 terrorists, including three suicide bombers, during a series of operations across Balochistan. The operations were launched after militants, linked to the Indian-backed group Fitna al Hindustan, carried out coordinated attacks in several areas including Quetta, Mastung, and Gwadar, aiming to disrupt peace and development in the region.
The militants targeted civilians in districts like Gwadar and Kharan, tragically killing 18 innocent people, including women, children, elderly, and laborers. Security forces responded quickly and effectively, engaging the attackers in intense operations that resulted in the elimination of the threat.
Sadly, 15 members of the security forces lost their lives during these confrontations. Ongoing security sweeps are being conducted to find any remaining attackers or those who supported them.
Intelligence reports indicate that the attacks were directed by leaders based outside Pakistan, who coordinated with the militants during the incidents. Just a day earlier, 41 more terrorists were killed in similar operations in Panjgur and Harnai, bringing the total number of militants killed in recent days to 133.
The government has committed to continuing its counter-terrorism campaign under the “Azm e Istehkam” initiative, aiming to rid the country of foreign-backed terrorism.
