In a significant achievement, security forces eliminated a “leader of a terrorist network” during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the broader vicinity of Katalang, located in Mardan District, as reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday.
According to a concise communique issued by the military’s public relations department, security forces were engaged in two separate confrontations with insurgents in distinct regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the night spanning September 28 and 29.
The ISPR statement specified, “An intelligence-based operation was carried out in the general vicinity of Katalang, Mardan District, resulting in the elimination of a high-value target, the leader of a terrorist network, Faisal.”
It was noted that the deceased militant had been actively participating in numerous terrorist activities and was a person of great interest to law enforcement agencies.
