Security forces successfully prevented a potentially catastrophic terrorist attack on Monday in Bannu Cantt, as reported by media News. The terrorists sought to breach the cantonment by utilizing an explosives-laden vehicle near the perimeter wall that separates Bannu Cantt from the supply depot, according to Radio Pakistan.

The provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan, both sharing borders with Afghanistan, have particularly been hit hard by the wave of violence. They accounted for a staggering 92% of all fatalities and 87% of attacks, including terrorism and security operations, during this period, according to the report.
