Swat: Two Policemen Gunned Down by Unknown Assailants in Mingora
Tragedy struck in Mingora, Swat, as unidentified gunmen ruthlessly took the lives of two brave policemen. The incident serves as a harsh reminder of the ongoing battle against terrorism that the resilient province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa faces. The outlawed militant group, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), notorious for its hostility towards security forces, has escalated its attacks since terminating the ceasefire with Islamabad last year. In response, Pakistani security forces have intensified their operations to eradicate the menace of terrorism that had been quelled in the recent past. The fallen heroes, Constables Umra Khan and Ashraf Ali, were tragically shot near Mingora’s vibrant Sabzi Mandi area during the early morning hours. Despite their immediate transfer to a nearby hospital, their injuries proved fatal, leaving the nation in mourning.
