On Friday night, six Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred in a firefight with terrorists in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan. The military’s media wing, ISPR, reported that the exchange of fire occurred on the night of October 4-5, 2024. During the clash, six terrorists were killed by the security forces.
Among the martyred soldiers was Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Shoukat, 43, who led his troops bravely from the front. He and his five men lost their lives during the intense battle. The ISPR emphasized that these sacrifices strengthen their resolve to eliminate terrorism.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their unparalleled sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and paid tribute to the martyrs. The Chief of Army Staff also reiterated the commitment to defeating terrorism in all its forms.
In a separate operation, law enforcement agencies conducted a joint intelligence-based raid in Charbagh, Swat District, where they killed two terrorists, including a leader named Atta Ullah, also known as Mehran. Another terrorist was captured in an injured state. Atta Ullah had been involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.
