The Taliban’s top military leader, Fasihuddin Fitrat, has strongly denied claims made by the U.S. and Pakistan about the presence of terrorist groups like ISIS (Da’ish) and the TTP in Afghanistan. He insists that these groups have been completely wiped out from Afghanistan and that any concerns about their activity there are unfounded.
Instead, Fitrat accuses Pakistan of harboring the TTP and allowing them to launch attacks on Pakistani forces from bases within Pakistan. This contradicts claims made by Pakistani officials, who have accused the Taliban of allowing the TTP to operate from Afghan territory.
