A large number of taxpayers, including salaried individuals, have successfully filed their income tax returns through the dedicated Facilitation Desk at the Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) headquarters. This initiative has been highly appreciated by taxpayers, as it allows them to file their returns without incurring the high fees typically charged by tax advisers.
In collaboration with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the FTO launched this Facilitation Desk to assist taxpayers facing difficulties with filing their returns. This effort aims to simplify the tax return process, especially with the filing deadline extended to October 14th.
The Facilitation Desk has been instrumental in helping taxpayers with issues such as password retrieval and other challenges encountered on the FBR website. Trained FBR officials are available to provide hands-on support to tax filers.
Assistance is only available in person at the FTO Secretariat in Islamabad, and no help will be provided over the phone. The FTO encourages all taxpayers to visit the desk for any filing assistance they may need.
The FTO office remains dedicated to supporting taxpayers and is committed to resolving their tax-related issues.
