A tragic incident occurred on Monday, when Bilal Pasha, the chief executive officer of Bannu Cantonment Board, was found dead in his official residence with a gunshot wound to his head. The police said they received a call about the incident and rushed to the scene, where they discovered Pasha’s body lying in a pool of blood. They shifted the body to the District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ) in Bannu for further proceedings.
The police said they had initiated an investigation to determine whether it was a case of suicide or murder. Pasha’s body was later taken to his hometown of Khanewal in Punjab, where he was laid to rest after a funeral prayer. Pasha was a civil servant from the 47th Common Training Programme (CTP) who had made headlines for his humble background and hard work. His untimely death was mourned by many civil servants across different CSS groups and others, who stressed the need for better stress management among their peers.
