Military commanders have vowed to deal with the full force of the state against terrorists and their facilitators acting at the behest of hostile forces to destabilize Pakistan.
This determination was expressed at the 262nd Corps Commanders’ Conference in Rawalpindi under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir.
Addressing the forum, Syed Asim Munir said that Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are sacred and inviolable. He said that Pakistan believes in peaceful co-existence with all states, but there will never be any compromise on national sovereignty, national honor and aspirations of Pakistani people.
The forum was briefed on the serious Indian campaign of extraterritorial and extrajudicial killings, continuing state-sponsored terrorism and targeting Pakistani citizens. It was agreed that India’s flagrant violation of international laws and its true face would be exposed to the world. The international community has already expressed serious concerns over India’s criminal behavior and use of state apparatuses to carry out killings across the world.
The Forum reiterated its unequivocal support for the people of Palestine and Gaza and noted the extremely negative consequences of the conflict and its potential for spillover into the wider region. The urgent need for a permanent ceasefire and a durable solution to the Palestinian issue was unanimously recognized. In this regard, Pakistan’s commitment to support the right to self-determination of the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir was reiterated. Pakistan will continue to provide moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri brothers and sisters until justice is delivered in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.
The forum also discussed the deployment of the Pakistan Army to assist the Election Commission of Pakistan in the peaceful conduct of the 2024 general elections. No one will be allowed to indulge in violence in the name of political activism and sabotage the best democratic process of holding free and fair elections.

The participants of the conference appreciated the measures taken against smuggling, hoarding, money laundering, power theft and illegal activities and criminal mafias. The positive effects need to continue uninterrupted.
The forum was briefed on the operational preparations of the formation.
The Army Chief asked the formation commanders to continue to focus on training, administration and morale of the troops.
Besides, the forum paid great tribute to the great sacrifices of the martyrs including the officers and men of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies and civilians who laid down their lives to ensure peace and stability in the country.
