Former U.S. President Donald Trump, continuing his diplomatic tour of the Middle East on Thursday, made a bold statement about the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One as he traveled to the United Arab Emirates, Trump emphasized that no meaningful progress in peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine is likely until he has a direct, face-to-face meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
