DNIPRO: Ukraine is urging the international community to accelerate their provision of weapons as the city of Dnipro continues to suffer from a Russian missile attack that killed over 40 people in an apartment complex and Ukrainian troops are facing increased aggression on the eastern front.
The Ukrainian army General Staff reported that Russia had launched over 70 rocket attacks in the past 24 hours. They also stated that Russian forces had shelled more than 15 settlements near the city of Bakhmut in the eastern Donetsk region, including the salt-mining town of Soledar, where fierce trench warfare has been ongoing for weeks.
The sustained Russian shelling has completely destroyed the city of Bakhmut and severely damaged the city of Avdiivka in the center of the Donetsk region. Ukrainian military analyst Oleh Zhdanov said on YouTube,
“The enemy is attacking constantly and around the clock. And we are trying to maintain our positions. Russian troops are active at night – we are in great need of night vision equipment.” Russian-installed authorities claim to have control of Ukraine’s Soledar.
