Pakistan and the United States have reached an agreement to augment military-to-military relations, particularly in the areas of training and operations.
This understanding was reached during a meeting between the Pakistan Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and commanders of US Air Forces Central Command Lieutenant General Alexus Grynkewich in Islamabad on Monday.
The two met to discuss a number of important issues, including the regional security situation and the potential to increase bilateral and defense cooperation.
The visiting US official praised Pakistan’s efforts to promote regional peace and pledged to increase cooperation in various fields. He also recognized the professionalism of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) personnel and the remarkable achievements of the PAF over the years, particularly through self-sufficiency.
